Post Diagnostic Service

What is our Post Diagnostic Service?

We use Public Health Wales’ ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing,’ to create 3 free 45-minute sessions which support you holistically after your diagnosis.

We are here to support you. We can help you make informed decisions and to feel confident about your hearing loss. We can support with questions about hearing loss, hearing aids, assistive technology, and equipment for work and at home.

We also provide information and support to access services, such as the fire service, social services and community groups who may be able to support you further. Sessions are carried out by video call on Microsoft Teams or by telephone, but face to face sessions can be arranged if you do not have equipment to do this or communication is difficult. This will depend on your location.

Who Do We Support?

We can support anyone who has been diagnosed with hearing loss within the last 18 months. You could be recently diagnosed and just received your hearing aids or you may have had your diagnosis a year ago, but feel you would now benefit from some support. We see people around six weeks after receiving their hearing aids.

Signposting

We work closely with Social Services, Audiology and third sector organisations across Wales and can signpost you further for extra support or information from other organisations.
