Alyson Tindell-Read
Employment Advisor

Alyson joined COS in January 2023 as an employment advisor working with participants with hearing or sight loss, assisting them into work or to develop their current skills or learn new ones.

Alyson has been working in the Welfare to Work sector since 2006 when she started working for the DWP.  Since then, she has worked on the Work Choice, IPES and Work and Health programmes with employers such as Scope, Working Links, Remploy and now Cos with the Jobsense programme.

Alyson started her working career in farming, gaining qualifications in 1981 and her intentions were to combine agriculture with her love of horses.  Life however took a different turn although she is still involved in the equine world and has a Connemara horse called Molly.   She has two grown up sons who are also involved in the farming and equine sectors.

Alyson really enjoys the face to face contact with our participants and being able to practically assist them with any issues they are currently facing.  She gets great job satisfaction working with people to make changes that ultimately change their lives for the better.

Joining COS has been very enjoyable especially working with such a strong team who are passionate, supportive and knowledgeable and  who all work together for the benefit of their participants.
